Welcome to Barry Froggatt's Home Page

Hi there, welcome to my web pages, I hope that you don't have to be a Froggatt to find something of interest on the Froggatt Trail. For instance you will probably find my grandfather's notes on life at the end of the 19th. beginning of the 20th. Century a change from the usual Internet fodder.

The 'Cranwell Brats' refers to RAF Aircraft Apprentices who spent three of their most formative years learning Radio and RADAR trades at RAF Cranwell. Their theme song was 'The Lincolnshire Poacher' with its initial line of 'When I was bound Apprentice in famous Lincolnshire'. It's now over 60 years on, but the bond remains.

Radio Amateurs who are, or have been, associated with IBM will find here listings and information to keep them in touch with old friends. Many of us are now retired and the Annual QSO Party is our way of keeping in touch on the air at least for two days of a year.

I've tried to work to the KISS principle (Keep It Simple Stupid) as far as possible when assembling the pages and if a sizeable file is involved I usually warn you before you get trapped in a long download.

Enjoy your visit and please consider volunteering the 'idle' time on your PC for cancer research.
